Wiltshire - Seventies style added to collection

The Wiltshire brand logo was developed by Bayly Design in the seventies and seen on the Staysharp knives from this period. This example of package design for spoons from the early seventies is a classic. Another treat for my collection of Victorian design.

  1. Hi Ian

Do you know who designed the Wiltshire Burgundy stainless steel tableware made by Wiltshire in the 1970s?

It has the feel of Scandinavia. I was wondering if the designer was one of the post World War Two Australian migrants who had been trained or studied in Scandinavia or Austria or Germany. One of my friends suggested that it might have been someone who came to Australia for the 1956 Olympics and liked what they saw and decided to relocate to Australia.

    Your thoughts would be appreciated.
