World Industrial Design Day - Suzhou H20 China
The Design Institute of Australia and the Southeast University-Monash Joint Graduate School (Suzhou) present Suzhou H20 exhibition. Suzhou H20 is an exhibition of industrial design from Australia, China and globally curated with the theme of water. This event is on Saturday June 29th at the Southeast University-Monash University Joint Graduate School (Suzhou) Suzhou, China and celebrates World Industrial Design Day.

1st Suzhou Industrial Design Exhibition - Bernie Walsh
Australian industrial designer Bernie Walsh demonstrated the latest digital industrial design techniques at The 1st Suzhou Industrial Design Exhibition and R&D Public Service Activities event in Suzhou China.
Bernie's live demonstrations were very popular and local media interest was very high. He was interviewed by Suzhou News TV and local newspapers. Suzhou News TV featured footage of Bernie demonstrating Autodesk Sketchbook Pro on a Wacom Cintiq.
Bernie lectures as part of the Southeast University-Monash University Joint Graduate School (Suzhou) Master of Industrial Design program in Suzhou China.

The 1st Industrial Design Exhibition - Suzhou China 2013
The Design Institute of Australia and Monash University will feature in the First Suzhou Industrial Design Exhibition and R&D Public Service Activities organised by the People's Republic of China Suzhou City Science and Technology Bureau.
The Australia China collaboration will begin with the China-Australia Industrial Design Forum following the official opening of the new Suzhou Industrial Design Centre in downtown Suzhou close to the historic Ping Yang Road. The Design Institute of Australia, MADA - Monash University Art Design and Architecture, and the Southeast University - Monash University Joint Graduate School (Suzhou) will be represented on a combined Australia stand in the exhibition. The Design Institute of Australia exhibit will feature award winning work from industrial design practice members. The stand will also feature Makerbot Replicator 2 3D printing and the latest Wacom Cintiq digital sketching tablets currently used by students in the Master of Industrial design program. Monash University lecturer Bernie Walsh will demonstrate Autodesk Sketchbook Pro and the latest Samsung digital tablet technology.

Dr Ethan Wang from Monash University will chair the forum and discuss his PhD research related to SME's in China and Australia. Professor Xue Chengqi director of the Department of Industrial Design at Southeast University will discuss industry research outcomes in China. Ian Wong FDIA - Program Director Master of Industrial Design Monash University and representing the Design Institute of Australia will outline Industrial Design practice in Australia including research on the history of industrial design in Victoria. David Flynn FDIA will present an Australian perspective on design management in consulting and manufacturing.
Monash University have commenced the Master of Industrial Design program at the Southeast University-Monash University Joint Graduate School (Suzhou) in the Suzhou Industrial Park Dushu Lake Education Precinct.
