Dashilar is located southwest of Tiananmen Sq near Qianmen Gate and Dashilar Alley is just one of many sites for events at Beijing Design Week 2014.

The Australian Design Industry Delegation visited Dashilar on Thursday Sept 25th as Beijing Design Week was just winding up.

Lenovo - The Smart Moving Platform Beijing Design Week

Lenovo demonstrated the smart running shoes developed with Vibram as part of the Smart Moving Platform at Beijing Design Week 2014.

The innovative sports and leisure shoe concepts are outcomes from the Smart Moving Platform Lab.

The shoes feature a woven fibre optic upper that provides color changing and illumination, illuminated sole regions and vibrating interative feedback for navigation and safety applications. The concept is a platform and partners are invited to collaborate. One potential application is to assist the blind.
